SAINT PATRICK'S CELEBRATION

We had this nice talk about the Irish Saint Patrick party... We had a green decoration and the students had to wear a green bracelet during the class… just for fun!

GARAGE SALE

The Garage sale was an event that we could reflect about the children who don’t have toys to play with… thinking about this, we decided to talk to Casa da Criança adoption center to ask ‘em if they wanted the toys we could get through this Garage Sale thing. In order to get the toys, instead of selling ‘em, we decided just to ask our students to bring and donate for us… we got around 100 toys and got deeply happy to know that some children would have presents for Christmas… The girls from Casa da Criança received us jumping of joy because of the toys… We all could notice that when doing good things for the others we become happier than doing these same things for us…

JON BON JOVI'S SHOW

I went to see Bon Jovi's show in São Paulo, at Morumbi Stadium with some friends. And this experience was simply incredible! 55 thousand people vibrating for the same reason: to appreciate an amazing show! Too much energy and expectation... there are no words to describe this emotion. Just enjoy the photos ;)

P.S. Of course I wouldn´t come back without knowing a little bit about that BIG city! Watch me at the metro station too =D

HALLOWEEN

 

2007 was the first year of Halloween celebration we had. As we started our Multilínguas here in Farroupilha that year, we preferred to have some cozy-film thing! Here some photos of that day, four years ago, baby!

2008 was different, we thought of having that big party and invited not only English students but CAC students too... Sooo many people in the corridors of our school... Perfect moment, people still talk about what happened that night (secret)!!!

2009 had this atmosphere of horror... some decoration in our corridors and classrooms gave the idea of "The Ring" cavern and "João e Maria" house... The students got frightened and scared... Loved that party!!!

2010 was a lillte bit different.. we wanted to have a calmer Halloween celebration so we had film with the students... "Scream 1" was our choice... girls yelling, boys laughing... food and "spider" candies!!! The sweets recharged the students batteries after the scary film.. haha

MURAL OF AMERICAN CULTURE

Dear readers, building knowledge with our students is something that we focus a lot... It's a process we follow every moment our students enter the classroom and also out of it! Daily conversation helps! T'was not enough just learning about British culture so we did another mural with American culture aspects… also had music, film, series features… Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and also George Washington appeared here to talk to us…

PROM IN THE WINTER

2009 was the first year we wanted to give the students their certificates with a little bit more style than just distributing... So the idea of an American Prom came up and we worked hard to have a gorgeous situation in which the students could feel like bein' abroad... We gave the girls the flower for them to put on their wrists and the title was GALA BALL…

 The King and Queen of the Prom

2010 - Ladies and Gentlemen, for the second year in a row, we had this amazingly beautiful prom. The year before we had this gala-clothing-style ball and we decided to change a little bit for this 2010 prom. Instead of giving the girls the flowers for them to put on the wrist we asked them to dress like the 50’s… We had all bitsy-teeny-weenie clothes under rock, jazz and blues songs… We chose the King and Queen of the prom and gave the students the certificates per level… That night was really a child ;)
